The Rock Bottom Ranch Eco-Trail is a trail network around the grounds and pasture lands of Aspen Center for Environmental Studies’ Rock Bottom Ranch. This is a series of trails in Basalt, CO.

Rock Bottom Ranch, a working ranch and educational farm, is 113 acres where natural ecosystems coexist with sustainable agricultural production.
Since 1968 Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) has been meeting its mission, “To inspire a life-long commitment to the Earth by educating for environmental responsibility, conserving and restoring the balance of natural communities, and advancing the ethic that the Earth must be respected and nurtured.”
We welcome you to explore our trail system and outdoor classrooms. Please check in at the Field Studies Center where ACES staff is available to answer questions.
Rock Bottom Ranch is a working farm. You may encounter livestock, electric fences, or agricultural equipment at any time. Please do not touch the electric fencing, go beyond any closed gates, or leave the pathway without staff supervision.”
