Aspen, Colorado (7,890 ft) is home to four ski areas, Aspen (AJAX) Mountain, Aspen Highlands Mountain, Buttermilk Mountain, and Snowmass. Aspen also neighbors three wilderness areas – Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, Hunter-Fryingpan Wilderness, and the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness. There are a lot of hiking and biking trails.
