Cooper Creek Road, also called Iron Mine Road and Cooper Basin Road, is a difficult road you can hike, run, mountain bike, and horseback ride that is dog friendly. This is a dirt road near Ashcroft, CO.
To get to the road, travel 13 miles on Castle Creek Road from the roundabout near Aspen. The intersection and small parking area is on the right (2 miles past Ashcroft). The road is on the left fork with a road closed sign and rock barricade preventing vehicles from passing. The right fork leads to Montezuma Basin Road (FSR #102) and Pearl Pass Road (FSR #102).
