To get to South Thompson Creek Road (FSR #305) from Carbondale, travel 6.5 miles up Thompson Creek Road (CR 108) from the Colorado Rocky Mountain School and bridge crossing the Crystal River. The unmarked dirt road will be on your left at a large dirt turnaround area.

July 2023 Road 305 bridge is only about half there and a big sinkhold closes the left side. Rd 306 is to the right and is fine.
