The McNamara Hut is a hut that is part of the 10th Mountain Division Hut System available for reservations through the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association. Built in 1982, the McNamara Hut was one of the original two huts in the 10th Mountain Division Hut System (the other is Margy’s Hut, built during the same summer). Funds to build the hut were donated by Robert McNamara (former secretary of defense), in memorial to his wife Margy (as is Margy’s Hut). The hut is open Thanksgiving through the end of April.
