“Sam Caudill, Aspen’s mountain main, was a champion for wildlife and wild places. His passion for the wild country and wild critters led to his appointment to the Colorado Wildlife Commission from 1975-1983 where he fought to protect wildlife habitat and nonage species. Hunting in the fall was a yearly ritual for Sam that renewed his spirit. He always filled a room with his presence. Sam was a world renowned architect, gifted musician, and had a trademark work-like howl.”
