Snowmass Village, Colorado (8,209 feet) is a 3 mile drive off Highway 82. Snowmass Village is home of the Snowmass Ski Area, the largest of Aspen’s four ski areas, and a portal to the nearby Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness. But this base village isn’t the only area with the Snowmass name. Following Snowmass Creek is an area locally referred to as Old Snowmass.
