Penny Hot Springs near Carbondale, CO
The Penny Hot Springs are a natural hot springs beside the Crystal River along Highway 133. The parking pull off can be found between mile markers 56 and 55. There are no signs for the springs, but they can be seen from below the pull off. The springs get their name from Dan Penny who kept a small hotel on the railroad line near Avalanche Creek.
