To get to the trailhead from Mt. Crested Butte, follow Gothic Road (FSR #317) 4.2 miles from the end of the pavement to a parking area just past Gothic. Follow the road right onto Gothic Bypass Road (FSR #317.3A) 0.5 miles up to another parking area. The trailhead is on the left.
