Spring Creek Trail #2068 is an intermediate/moderate trail you can hike, run, and horseback ride that is dog friendly. This is a 5.8 mile dirt trail near New Castle, CO.

To get to the trailhead from New Castle, take 7th Street/Midland Avenue and follow it left to Buford Road (CR 245). In 1.2 miles take the right branch of the Y onto East Elk Road. In 4.3 miles there is a parking lot on the left. Be careful, the East Elk Road (CR 241) becomes progressively more primitive as you travel up to the parking area and the Centennial Trailhead. Follow the road (FSR #654) and then East Elk Creek Trail for 3.2 miles to Spring Creek on the right of the trail.
