Redstone, Colorado (7,200 ft) is a small town in the Crystal River Valley. The town sits along the Crystal River and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district. From Carbondale you can travel south on Highway 133 (West Elk Loop Scenic Byway) about 20 miles up the Crystal River Valley to reach the “Ruby of the Rockies.” There are a lot of hiking and biking trails in Redstone.
