Green Mountain Trail is a difficult trail you can hike, run, and horseback ride that is dog friendly. This is a dirt trail by the Independence Ghost Town in the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness near Aspen, CO.

To access the trailhead, from Aspen drive 14.75 miles up Independence Pass Road (HWY 82). The trail is located on the right, past mile marker 56, just before Independence Ghost Town. Follow the path down to the road closure sign and cross the Roaring Fork River.
