Blue Lake Trail is a difficult trail you can hike and run that is dog friendly. This is a 2.2 mile unmarked dirt trail in the Mt. Massive Wilderness off of the North Fork Trail near Aspen, CO.

To get to the trailhead from Aspen, travel up Independence Pass Road (HWY 82). From the top of Independence Pass (12,095 ft) stay on the road and continue east winding down the road 4.5 miles to a sharp left turn. Follow the North Fork Trail is up along the North Fork of Lake Creek. In about 0.75 miles, just past the Mt. Massive Wilderness sign there is an unmarked trail on the left.
