A sign at the trailhead reads: (Click to expand)
“This trail marks the beginning of the LoVa Trail, which is a vision of the Lower Valley Trails Group for a trail through Garfield County along the Colorado River. This section of trail was made possible by a partnership between LoVa, Garfield County, the City of Glenwood Springs, Colorado State Parks, Colorado Department of Transportation, the Bikes Belong Coalition, and the West Glenwood Sanitation District.

The trail will be extended westward to the Garfield County line, connecting the communities along the Colorado River, as funds become available.

Public and private support for this objective is gratefully appreciated.”
